Extreme E

Global series launch

The brief was to create an unforgettable, unique, and engaging virtual experience for Velocity’s long-term client Extreme E in the midst of a global pandemic. Extreme E are bold and innovative, and they really wanted this to show in the launch experience. To create a fully immersive and impressive virtual reveal, we found a new innovative and sustainable product that could unveil the car – Extended Reality (XR). XR technology was used for all the different segments of the launch, including the car reveal, interviews, and Q&A sessions. The XR stage allowed the presenters to truly connect and interact with the content and guests whilst simultaneously being interlinked with co-hosts from all over the world. Whilst this was one of the first virtual series launches of its kind, the team successfully blurred the lines between the real and virtual worlds, creating an engaging, entertaining, and impressive virtual launch.

AW/SS Launches

TBA and Dr Martens have mutually developed an approach to seasonal product launches that places innovation at its heart, told through the use of materials and found objects and immersive product spaces.

Continually evolving the concept in response to fashion trends, we’ve created environments that reference the past and reimagine them through the lens of an iconic footwear brand, be this a nightclub, the original DM factory or an urban funture-scape.

Working closely with product teams to ensure, presentations and workshops maximise messaging. Creating a unique agenda for each 3 day event, guests experienced a launch party and enjoyed London-centric evenings from junk-yard golf to a Specials gig.

Annual Event

As global technology market analysts, Canalys sits at the heart of a rapidly evolving digital world. This makes them ideally placed to present objective insights into trends, issues and progress.

Our job is to handle full event management at this annual conference of sharing ideas. When TBA became involved in 2015, we inherited an established programme which has continued to expand. Year on year, we have unlocked multitudes of hidden potential and raised the bar on production and technical values, as well as audience experience.

International Conference

TBA plc delivered the inaugural Autodesk University London to launch the new brand to industry leaders in Europe and create an unmissable event to showcase software capabilities. With the venue choice set for Tobacco Dock again in 2018, and having already delivered the inaugural event in 2017, TBA were in an unrivalled position to manage the event for its second year. With our deep understanding of the layered, intricate and multi-faceted site of Tobacco Dock, TBA got to work in planning the guest journey and delegate experience; one of the most crucial aspects of AU and its success. Our team drew on our 35 years of experience and our learnings from 2017 to deliver over 30 exhibitions, 116 workshop sessions with 133 speakers, educational activities including a Formula 1 technology showcase, 11 break-out sessions, and several interactive elements that included VR and robotics. All elements flowed seamlessly to allow paying delegates to get the most out of the event.

The biggest celebration in the world of rugby

We were tasked with creating an ambitious awards show legacy that delivers true gravitas to the annual awards – the pinnacle moment in World Rugby for recognition and celebration. Beginning in 2017 and working with the organising body - World Rugby, we design and produce the prestigious annual World Rugby Awards, seeing all the biggest names in the sport coming together for one night to celebrate, the people in and behind the sport and their success.

The biggest celebration in the world of rugby

The Awards recognise the achievements of established drivers and the industry’s luminary leaders as well as accelerating the fortunes emerging talent - both on the track and in the design office - to the very top echelons of the sport. Motorsport Network has long been a cherished client of Velocity and the team have put on a flawless show production for its premier headline event delivering the award ceremonies for the past three years. In its 30th year the 2019 event saw a new title sponsor the Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award. Other new sponsors included W Series and Extreme E.
