Working alongside creative advertising agency Citizen, Top Banana was asked to produce a series of short films for leading car rental company, Europcar, to help promote their new service “Deliver and Collect”. The client required three different treatments with each having a 30 second and 15-second version for their various online channels, as part of a wider marketing campaign.

The benefits of Europcar’s new service were brought to life through a strong visual treatment using a split-screen approach, contrasting two different scenarios that highlighted the ease of use and time saved by using “Deliver and Collect”. The filming was shot over two days with Top Banana managing the casting, location searches and crew to ensure the project ran on time and to budget. Due to Europcar’s global reach, Top Banana was requested to edit six additional versions, each translated into a different language. More than just a few text edits, the After Effects team were asked to flip selected shots to make the car appear as a left-hand drive and edit the number plate frame by frame so it appeared relevant for each country. The final edit was completed at Top Banana’s edit facilities including audio mix and grading to produce a set of commercials for Europcar’s campaign.
